I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas…

by mendibpng

This is the time of year when I tend to get homesick. It starts around Thanksgiving time and goes through the holidays. I think about my family and friends back home and wish I could see their faces…sit around drinking hot chocolate and telling stories of the year gone by.  I wish I could kiss the new babies and hug the newly weds/newly engaged loved ones.  I can’t write about it too much because it makes me teary! A friend of mine was saying yesterday (and I concur!) that she loves her work, loves living in Papua New Guinea; but being away from family and friends is one of the hardest things.
Even though I didn’t grow up in the U.S., there’s something magical about having snow during the Christmas season.  This week I was going through last year’s photos (an annual tradition: we make calendars for the grandparents!) and found these that Grandpa Bill took. Fun, fun!
